Miss-Me-Not World Events in 2019

New Years is a few days away, whether you’re ringing it toasting your favorite glass of bubbly or sipping a single malt in front of a fireplace – it all sounds like a legit way to start off the new year. However, nothing is more anticipating and exciting than planning your holidays for the travel-filled year of 2019. Grab your calendars and start circling dates because these worldly events are truly something that should be witnessed once (at the least).


1. Berlin Film Festival (7 February 2019 – 17 February 2019)



Calling all movie buffs! If Hollywood is not keeping up with your movie needs anymore, head up to Berlin. It is a unique place of artistic exploration and entertainment, one of the largest public film festivals in the world, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from around the globe each year. 


2. The Lantern Festival of Taiwan (19 February 2019)



Wishes light up the Taiwan sky at the first full moon of the lunar year. Featuring everything from handheld children’s lanterns to huge floats bedecked in paper lights, this festival is one of the most popular events and is a beautiful sight not to be missed.


3. The Carnival in Rio De Janeiro (2 March 2019 – 9 March 2019)



Expect a crowd of two million people per day on the streets, dancing and partying. Marked as the biggest carnival in the world – the energy is outstanding!


4. Holi Festival (20 March 2019 – 21 March 2019)



Also known as “The Festival of Colours” People in India spend the day smearing colored powder all over each other's faces, throwing colored water at each other, having parties, and dancing under water sprinklers. For a regal Holi experience, fly to Udaipur - home to the custodians of the Mewar Dynasty. During Holi, the royal family host public celebrations with an extravagant procession through the city streets and a large function held at the City Palace. It's a chance to watch royal musicians and dancers perform before the traditional sacred fire.


5. Snowbombing (8 April 2019 – 13 April 2019)




Snowbombing is a popular ski resort festival. It is also Europe's largest show on snow, showcasing a diverse music lineup on the renowned slopes of Austria's Mayrhofen ski resort. Think of lots of snow and more brandy to warm you up.


6. Monaco Grand Prix (23 May 2019 – 26 May 2019)



Fast and furious – but live! One of the most prestigious automobile races in the world, thousands of people flock to Monaco to catch a glimpse of this truly unique circuits. Secure tickets early as they sell out fast and furiously!
